The Idea[]
During some small talk on the PVC Discord, HardVolcano managed to get Golden (a moderator) slightly heated, and said he would fight them in a parking lot, 3PM. After some more joking about it, the idea hit. Why not make a parking lot arena in the game? After sharing it with other players they all began preparations to build it.
Why a parking lot?[]
It's pretty simple, the arenas built all over the map are there for the crowd, not the fighters. The whole design of most arenas are like that, the fighters are entertainment for other people. They don't fight for glory. However, a parking lot is different. There is no first row seat, there are no traps, there is no advertising; fights in the parking lot are close and personal, life and death situations. You don't have the time to get all fancy and prepare everything for a 3 minute fight in a colosseum, you don't want to impress anyone, the whole point is to focus on the opponent.
This arena is also a reference to an old video called "i sword fight my ex gf in a denny's parking lot." Then why is it not a Denny's? Volcano couldn't remember the meme correctly and mistook Denny's with Wendy's. And Wendy's has more clout so that's a plus.
Location[]
The coordinates of the arena are around -7444, 63, 203. Unfortunately, this is too far for a portal to be built, so it is quite far from the working area.
To reach this place: First head to Volcano's Nether portal at -40, -400, near the portal there are rails, simply get a minecart and go until the very end. You will reach one other portal before the end of the rails, you can ignore it. After leaving the nether, head towards the west with a boat, soon enough you'll reach the platform.
How to help build it[]
Get into contact with Volcano or any other members involved in the project for better insight, but overall what is needed at the moment is a good spot to build it and materials. More info soon
