The Big Gold Ore is a structure built at -1900, 67, 880 by Raynebowe. It is a recreation of a block of gold ore, with different blocks used to represent the different colours of the gold ore’s texture.
The Ore is 32x32x32 blocks in size, designed to take up the area of one coal claim. Each pixel of the gold ore’s texture is made up of four blocks. The blocks used to make the Ore are light grey wool, andesite, stone, light grey concrete, white concrete, yellow concrete powder, and yellow terracotta.
Not all sides of the Ore are correct recreations of gold ore’s texture. Due to the fact that blocks in Minecraft are 3D, whilst the texture of gold ore is 2D, some of the blocks on the edges are different. In addition to this, the texture is flipped or reversed on some of the sides.
The Big Gold Ore was built in March 2020.
