OrwellBeta (more commonly known as Orwell) is a robot on the PVC server made by KingNeme.

What does Orwell do?[]

Orwell has a few very cool features, in which most are accessible using the in game chat function.

- Gives players useful info

- Shows a lag check

- Warns and kicks (if needed) players who hack.

- Replies to player events (Death)

Gives players useful info[]

If a player asks something (for example: How do I claim land?), Orwell will respond with a useful private message (E.g: [OrwellBeta -> You] You get your first claim block after 30 minutes of /playtime. Place it down to protect land. You can read the wiki article at peaceful-vanilla-club.fandom.com/claiming).

Players can also force this message to be sent in the live chat by typing the corresponding short-code. A list of these can be PM’ed to a player when they type #faq in the main chat.

Lag Check[]

Orwell will send a lag check message directed to the player who “asked” for it in the server’s main chat. To get this lag check, simply type “lag” or any word containing the three letters in the main chat.

Orwell will reply with 4 server TPS checks, alongside a player ping rating. This ping rating is determined by a player ping and how good/bad it is.

An example of this lag check is as follows:

OrwellBeta: TPS are 20, 20, 20 and 20.1 (If it’s above 17 the server is not lagging). @<player> you ping seems fine. You are not lagging:

Hack Responses[]

Orwell will post a message on chat tagging the player upon whether it thinks the player is hacking or not. This message is for example: @<player> It might just be lag, but I suspect you are hacking. Please read the rules and don’t hack!

If Orwell thinks such, it will post a message after kicking a player too, for example: I hope I’m right because I just kicked @<player> for hacks. I might be wrong but could someone report this to a moderator on discord?

Orwell might do this because of a bug too. For example boats on ice in bedrock (Also known as bugrock) have been known to cause Orwell to kick players.

Player Event Messages[]

Whenever something happens to a player, Orwell will post a message a short time after. These occur when

- A new player joins (E.g: Welcome you too @<player>!)

- A player dies (E.g: It will be better next time @<player>)

Trivia[]

- OrwellBeta has its own role! The bot role is Orwell’s only role.

Afterword[]

Orwell is still in beta hence the name OrwellBeta. It isn’t perfect as it still needs improvements done. However, Orwell is very good at its job. It does all we want it to do and we are all very grateful for it. This entire page is dedicated to it, after all! Next time it helps out, maybe say Thank You to Neme, the one who created this amazing development. Orwell is a wonderful robot and deserves to be congratulated for its great coding! Well done OrwellBeta!

In the event of an update to OrwellBeta, this page will also be updated by LarryTLlama. However, I would appreciate it if someone else updated this page too! Thanks :D
