The Sandcastle Building Contest design competition was announced on 11 November 2019. Submissions were due by 14 November. Voting will began on 15 November and closed on 17 November. The challenge is to build a sandcastle in preparation for the Best Alpha-Styled House competition.
The prize is a trophy, 30 Diamonds, 25 Emerald Blocks, and 5 playtime certificates.
Event Rules[]
Participants signed up by DMing Magentabear or Aitnys with their in-game name, and if they were building alone or on a team.
Participating users must build a sandcastle in a 16x16 block, using the pre-determined materials provided by the server admins. Each supply chest for building contained materials, free food, beds, and a regeneration beacon.
The builds were evaluated by others on the server via Discord Vote, and awarded best-of in one of three categories:
- Best Overall Structure
- Best Classic Sand Castle
- Coolest/Weirdest Structure
The event rules are:
- You may only use the materials inside of the chests in your 16x16 plot. No outside matierals are allowed to be used, even temporary blocks used in the construction process.
- Your build must remain within the plot assigned to you.
- You cannot dig below the surface, however you can build as high as you want.
- Stealing, Cheating, or Griefing other structures will result in jail time and disqualification.
